Still at a standstill

No new news to report on at the moment. Work, family stuff and some other things have kept us from getting the time to move forward on planning. Still need to figure out photographer and music, although we might have made some headway for music for the ceremony. That is all. :)

Break is over

After finding the venue for the wedding and reception, we've taken a bit of a break from the wedding "madness". But now it's time to get back on the wagon and start our search for music and photographer. The reason is two fold: 1) Get someone we like before they get booked for our date and 2) Get it done so we can have it dealt with. Two good reasons to just get it taken care of. At some point I will have to start the dress shopping dealio too.

Less than a year! wow!

Well, we've past the 365 day mark (by a little now). Things are trucking along. We still have to get our photographer and music lined up...that's the next two things on the list right now. It's all very exciting though. And I have to say I love the fact that we don't have a lot to fret over for a while.

This weekend we went up to Vermont to visit friends just outside of Burlington. It was absolutely beautiful weather. We ate, drank, played Ding!(R) and had a grand ol' merry time. It was great to get away too. We both needed the break from work, wedding and etc.

Hawthorne Hotel

Location & Date selected!

We have decided on a location and have a date!

Gore Place was beautiful. But as New England weather can be very unpredictable, the Hawthorne Hotel will provide a gorgeous setting no matter what Mother Nature feels like doing that day. One other plus to this location is that their package includes so much, we don't have to worry about too much now besides setting up a photographer and the entertainment. Which is absolutely fantastic. Of course, there's all the other little odds and ends like invitations, save the dates, dresses, etc. but it's nice to know that the food will be excellent and much of the work will be handled for us.

So, mark Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem on your calendars.
